Last Friday I went to this informational meeting for Korean Class. I thought it was for Korean Classes held by the Korean Club, kind of like how JSA does Japanese Conversation Tables every week, BUT it wasn’t… bummer AT FIRST!
It turned out to be a 5-6 week Korean immersion program at Sogang University! I’ve honestly never heard of this program or this university until this meeting. It’s a 5-6 week intensive program on Korean language and Korean culture studies! My goal this year is to learn Korean so this would be perfect, plus I get to experience life in Korea for about a month. Doing a program like this costs a lot of money, but this program is actually within my own personal budget, so I could probably pay for it without my parent’s support.
The only thing is, this summer I was planning on doing a summer internship in Seattle so I wouldn’t have to do it during the school year. I can’t leave an internship during the summer for 5-6 weeks to study in Korea, no one would choose me if I said that, so it’s definitely going to be one or the other…..
Decisions, decisions….
