It’s only a recording (I’m waiting on the video) but all this buzz about my high school orchestra playing Phantom of the Opera has been flooding my newsfeed since last night. Even though it’s finals week for me, I think this really deserves some of my time to post because I’m so proud to call myself an alumni of this orchestra. To hear that Symphony’s performance of this piece stole the show makes me really happy. Theatrics by SWE would always grab the audience’s attention but it’s great to know that something as lyrical as this would leave a stronger impression is quite impressive.
The biggest joy in any alumni is to see what you have left behind improve and be better than the way they left it. I for one am a VERY proud alumni. :)
