流れ星
流れ星 (Nagareboshi “Shooting Star”)
This was a story about a man named Kengo, (Takenouchi Yutaka) an aquarium employee, and Risa (Ueto Aya) a young lady who is stuck in a depressing state where she has to pay off her brother’s debt. Kengo has a young sister that he would do ANYTHING to save and Risa would do anything to get out of her bind with her older brother. These two cross...
Q10
Q10 (pronounced “cute”)
This is a story that looks at a complicated relationship between Heita (Sato Takeru) and Q10 (Maeda Atsuko). Q10 is a human robot who mysteriously comes into Heita’s life. That’s basically all you need to know about the plot of this drama.
At first, I was like damn this is exactly like “絶対彼氏” (Absolute Boyfriend) where the main...
Day 25- Describe your day. Merry Christmas.
Woke up at around 9am then gave my mom her present from me and my dad. She loved it :D yay! Greeted her off to work (D:) then I got ready and headed off to Sapporo Station to look for a book I need for class and look at some Christmas day sales. Gosh so many people! Walked around for 2 hours, headed back home and rest. Cooked food with my mom after she got back, waited for my dad to come back from...
Day 24- Why is Christmas important to you?

One of my absolute favorite parts of the holidays is the MUSIC!!! Only at this time of the year can we listen to songs that aren’t consumed with gibberish I can’t understand. All the Christmas music makes me happy and it totally makes the holidays that much better!
I’m kinda bummed I can’t listen to KSSK’s 24 hours of Christmas Music. It doesn’t work online in...

Maybe I should consider staying in Seattle for post college plans… Seattle was in the top 5 for “Best City to Live In during the Next Decade” and now this. Seems like I chose a good place to go to college! :D
Juui Dolittle
Juui Dolittle
This is a drama that focuses on veterinary medicine. Dr. Tottori (Oguri Shun) is a highly skilled veterinarian that is acclaimed for his abilities to save animals. On the down side, the community knows him as a jerk, asking pet owners for ridiculous amounts of money for animal surgery and treatment. Asuka (Inoue Mao) is Tottori’s assistant nurse. Hanabishi (Narimiya Hiroki)...

Day 20- You have one Christmas wish. What is it?
For everyone to be happy.
I’ve been doing some reflecting after hearing the news about Mr. Zachary Manago. (Yes, even in Japan I still get news about Hawaii thanks to tumblr and facebook). It’s so strange that even though I didn’t know him personally, his loss is still affects me so much. I guess it just goes to show all of us that there is no such thing as an insignificant loss, regardless of whether we...
Day 19- Who is the most enthusiastic about the...
That would be… ME. My parents grew up in the country side of Japan where Christmas is not celebrated. Only in recent times, do the people in the towns have Christmas decor in stores and have Christmas sales at the supermarkets. That being said, they did not grow up with the custom of Christmas. Coming to America, was their first interaction with Christmas. I’ve grown up with...
Life is too short to not spend it with the people who sincerely make you happy.
To a boy whose life was cut short:
samantra:
Today, I found out about the passing of one of my fellow classmates from high school. I did not know him personally, but I’ve always seen him around and he seemed very friendly. Now, I’m at a loss of words because even though I’ve never spoken with him, he is still a part of everyone, the MoHS c/o 2010. I’d like to dedicate this post to him because it just proves that life ends when it...

Day 17- Describe your first Christmas memory
I can’t remember exactly, but the earliest I can remember, it was when I lived in Colorado. That Christmas was pure white. I lived right next to the ski resort my dad’s company owned so we ALWAYS got a beautiful view of the mountain. I woke up Christmas morning and looked out my window to see a beautiful white mountain with snowflakes slowing falling from the sky. I looked under the...
Day 15- Do you still believe in Santa Clause? If...
No I don’t believe in Santa Claus anymore, sadly. It’s a nice fantasy but I feel like I waste time believing in Santa. It’s not really much how I found out, I guess I sort of just figured it out.
Day 14- Ever sneaked a peak at a gift?
Of course! It was the year that I wanted a pulling backpack in elementary school. That was the days when those backpacks were super popular! I opened the closet once and I saw a bag I’ve never seen before. Then I looked inside and I saw it :D and I kept sneaking into the closet to look at it until Christmas day :) hee hee
Day 13- Describe your typical Christmas Eve
Nothing special….. just sleep and wake up the next day lol
Day 11- Are you any good at wrapping presents?...
I’ve got the comment: “For a guy you wrap gifts well”
A typical gift wrapped by me would be square or rectangular with clean cuts and sharp edges. I tend to use long ribbon with various color combinations that match with the wrapping paper and loop them around the box and stuff. Then I use scissors to curl the ribbon to make it fluffy and curly. lol
Day 10- Do you give to charities or other people...
I volunteered for charities during the holidays before. I’ve done a lot of service projects during high school during the holidays that helped local charity groups. I’ve done the Adult Friends for Youth Auction with LEO Club my freshman year, Salvation Army Bell Ringing, Easter Seals Gingerbread Festival and Christmas Wish Program. One of my favorite ones was doing the Ward Trolley...
